Trip to IDAHO!

When Boden was a week and a half we got to go home to Idaho for 3 weeks, it was Heaven!! When Boden was born the only family that was able to come down was my mom and dad and Skyler's mom, so it was so much fun to be able to stay for that long, be around all our families, and have everyone get to meet Boden and us meet baby Dax!

Boden and Dax meeting for the first time, Boden wasn't to sure about things....

Krystal and  Kash holding Boden

Skyler holding Dax for the 1st time

Seth holding both his new cousin and little brother. Don't try and mess with Dax, Seth is quite the protective big brother!!

While we were there it was also Halloween:

Carving pumpkins

Skyler's pumpkins he carved, pretty impressive he did both just free handing them

First Halloween as a family!

Our little "Superman"
The boys in their Skeleton pajamas Grandma Dance bought them

The crew Trick or Treating

Stephanie and the kids got to come over for the Halloween weekend and to meet both the babies, so Boden got lots of  cousin time!

Kindra loved holding him and wanted to help us out any way she could.

We spent time out to Skyler's parents, Chelsea and Allie weren't to sure about him at first, they both liked to look but neither one was getting too close. By the end of our three weeks there they both warmed up to him, Allie even held him for a while. She still isn't wanting to share Grandma Shellie with him and get kinda jealous when she is holding him.

Some other fun pictures while we were home:

He's sooo cute and Seth is so excited to have his little brother here! We have one more nephew on the way, Krystal is scheduled to have her's, baby Knight on November 23rd! It's going to be so fun to have them all grow up together!

Congratulations Lori, Brandon and Seth, we are soo happy for you!!

Boden's Story

Boden is 3 weeks old today, crazy how fast it is already going, I want it to slow down and keep him small forever but I don't think it's going to happen! Now things are startring to slowdown and we are getting into some what of a routine (best we can being in Idaho going from family to family) I have time to sit down and write about the day he came into our lives!

Boden was due on October 22nd. On the the 12th of October I was scheduled for a regular weekly check. Dr Torres came in and did is normal check, once he was done he asked us if we wanted to have a baby that weekend instead of waiting till the 22nd. Of course we said YES! He said that if I didn't start on my own that he would start me on that saturday night. He told us that where I was and with the changes that i've made in just the last week that he was almost positive I would start on my own before then! We left the office with a time scheduled for the hospital on saturday and ran to our car and started making calls to all our families!

My mom and Skyler's mom Shellie flew into Vegas on that friday. By then I was ready to have him and was trying anything to make it happen. That night we went to dinner and walked around the mall and then just went back to our house and got settled in for the night. About 10:00 we were just getting into bed and my water broke. I didn't know that's what it was, it wasn't like all the stories you hear and what I expected so I didn't say anything but holy cow were my contractions so much stronger after that! My contractions were stronger but they were never consistant so that was another reason I didn't say anything to Skyler. Finally at about 11:00 I couldn't stand it anymore and got up and told Skyler that I think we needed to go to the Hospital. We woke our mom's up and got ready and headed to hospital. At this point I think I was more scared that they were going to tell me that it wasn't my water and to go home after we had woke our moms up in the middle of the night.

We arrived at the Hospital and went up to Labor and Delivery, once a nurse FINALLY got around to checking me they told me my water had really broke and they moved me into a labor and delivery room and got me all checked in around midnight. They put all the monitors on me to check my contractions and noticed that I wasn't contracting enough were I was dialated to a 3 and 50% effaced. They decided I needed to be put on pitocin but before they would start me on that I needed to have a round of antiobiotics because I tested positive for the strep B viruse. They got that going and then at four the nurse started my pit. When we were first checked in I told the nurse then that the Dr told us to have them start me on my epidural as soon as I got checked in, the Dr also told the nurse himself when she called and told him I was there to start me on it. Well the nice nurse decided that I wasn't in enough pain so she didn't think I needed it just get, sweet lady I know! So without the Epidural she started the pit at 4:00 a.m., laying there 4 hours threw contractions on pit was not how I thought my night was going to go! I asked again about it around 6:00 and she told me she would check on it, she then came back an hour later and said the Anesthesiologist was going into surgery and it would be at least another hour before I could get it. Finally at 8:00 the Anesthesiologist was rolling his cart in to give it to me, HEAVEN!

Once that was placed and a new nurse things were good, for the most part...besides throwing up several times before Boden was delivered and having a fever, I was able to sleep and relax. At 3:30 the nurse said I was ready to start pushing, so the moms were cleared out of the room and all the delivery stuff was wheeled in. The nurse warned us both that with this being my first I should expect to be pushing for an hour to two. So we started pushing and after only 20 minutes she made me stop because he was so close and the Dr wasn't there yet. She called the Dr telling him how close I was. He was at another hospital so he said to stop pushing and would be there as soon as possible...just my luck today! The Dr. arrived at 4:15 and we started pushing again and at 4:28 p.m. our sweet little baby was born!! So October 16th at 4:28 pm he was born weighing 7lb 1oz  and 20 in long!

We spent the next two days in the Hospital. My dad drove down that afternon and got there sunday morning to be with us as well. We went home from the hospital on Monday morning and life hasn't been the same and we LOVE it! My mom and dad went home Tuesday morning so they could be home for when Lori had her baby Wednesday morning and Shellie stayed to help us with things until Friday. I was so glad that they got to be there with us! That was the one thing that made me the most nervous and sad was that they might miss it and we were going to be in the hospital alone. I wish we were closer to home though, it was hard not to have the rest of our families there with us and meet Boden. I work with some amazing girls and once Shellie had to go home they stepped in and helped with meals and kept Boden and I company while Skyler had to go back to work in the afternoons. Thanks to our parents and Kelsey, Barbara, and Stephanie (the girls I work with) for helping us out and being there for us and all their love and support!!

Here are some pictures:

Fall Crafts, Decorations, and some house

These last two weeks in between getting baby's room ready, getting all his laundry washed and working I've had a couple free Saturdays to be able to do some Fall crafts and decorate the house. This year has been really fun to decorate because we are in our own house instead of an apartment. It's been good for me to keep busy so i'm not thinking about not being able to be home and waiting for baby to come. Hopefully he comes any day but at my last Dr's appointment it didn't look like it would be anytime soon! Sooo this is what  I've been up to to keep busy:

I found this idea at eighteen25.blogspot.com so when I went home last Lori and I made a set. I left the one I did there for my mom cause the glitter was to big of a mess to put in my bag so last Saturday I did a set for me!
I did this wreath this morning while Skyler was at work. Super easy but messy. I got this idea off the same blog as the "EEK" frames, they have way fun ideas!

I brought these wood blocks from home that we're unfinished and when I took them out of my bag Skyler asked why I brought "Fire wood" home. Last saturday while he was working I worked on these and when he got home he asked where I went and bought these from...Fire Wood what???

Here are also some pictures of our house that some people have been asking to see. We moved in brand new in June, with some hot summer days painting and decorating this is what we're proud to say is ours!

 Half the Kitchen....
 Other half of the Kitchen.
Little Dinning area...doesn't get used very often, other than when Lori and Seth came and they had Breakfast on it, oh and our lap top is on it :) But fun to decorate and make look good!!!
 Obviously the Living room...
 Looking from the Kitchen.
Guest bedroom...always ready for when people wanna come see us (hint hint)!
Baby's room, it's not done yet so this is all you can see until it's finished, then I'll post more pictures and better details. Maybe by then we will have decided on a name, maybe...
Our bedroom, crazy big, neither one of us have figured out why such a big Master bedroom, but we won't complain!

Their is a whole other nook area that I didn't take a picture of because Skyler has all stuff he got from his Mister Olympia weekend last weekend spread out all over. I should post a picture though cause he is pretty proud of it, they did make out really well I'll admit!
Master bathroom, it was hard to get a good picture of the whole thing without getting me in the mirror so this is all I could get.

Can't forget the HUGE backyard! It is a little bigger than what it looks like because when I took the picture and was standing quite a ways from the wall.

Their is another bathroom upstairs and one downstairs and a nook area upstairs that we put my craft stuff in. We love our house and have loved turning it into a Home!

Baby Shower in Idaho

Last weekend I went home for my baby shower. Lori, Krystal and my Mom put it all together and it turned out AMAZING!! I loved everything about it, they put so much time and effort into it and it couldn't have turned out better! Thanks to all of them for all the hard work!! We had a good turn out and baby got spoiled!
Cute decorations where the presents went

Food was amazing!!

Seth helping me out and handing me the presents since it was kinda hard for me to bend over and get them :)

Lori 35 weeks, Me 36 weeks, Krystal 31 weeks

All of us sisters, doesn't happen very often when we can all get together, Stephanie is missing something though, her belly isn't quite as big as ours!!

That weekend was also the last weekend I was able to fly until I have baby. I've been really lucky that my Dr has let me fly as late in my pregnancy as he has! Sad and Exciting all at the same time. Sad I can't go home for a while but really exciting to know the next time we do we will have baby with us and everyone will get to meet him, I can't wait!!!
